Mr. Alex Nackoul is the Managing Director-CEO of Brownstone Mortgage Capital Corporation which he founded in 1980. A graduate of the University of California, he is a licensed California Real Estate Broker with over 40 years of experience in underwriting, negotiating and servicing mortgage loans. He has extensive experience in mortgage investing, having funded and purchased well over $1 Billion in mortgages.
He is recognized as one of the leaders in the private mortgage investment field. He is a published author of the book, “Secrets to Successful Mortgage Investing” as well as numerous written articles for mortgage trade publications and newspapers.
In 2001, he started the Brownstone Mortgage Fund I, LP, a highly successful mortgage investment fund that was able to weather the severe economic downturn of 2008. Fund I has earned a net rate of return of over 8% on average to its investors since date of inception. Fund I currently has over $30,000,000.00 in commercial mortgages in its portfolio.
In 2016, he started a second mortgage fund, the Brownstone Diversified Mortgage Fund LLC. This Fund currently has $10,000,000.00 in commercial mortgages in its portfolio yielding approximately 6% net to its investors.
In all the 37 years of investing in mortgages, none of Mr. Nackoul’s investors has ever lost a penny of their money; not one! And at the same time, his investors have consistently earned an above market rate of return even during the Great Recession of 2008 through 2012.
In addition to mortgage investing, Mr. Nackoul is an experienced real estate investor with a current real estate portfolio exceeding $10 Million, mainly in commercial properties.
